Exam Stress

Taking exams is bound to be stressful because of what's at stake. Students may be feeling a weight of many things including family, work place, school, collage, university etc in term of good expectations. One may be afraid and go under such stresses and forget the actual learning behind exams and ends up questioning his own strengths. Letting the self down is another thing that later on turns into a psychological issues, creating the mental blocks in mind which further creates problems in learning. The issues that appear during exams are termed 'Exam Fever' because almost every student go through this in student life. The effects just don't stop when the exam period is over. The mind takes the every stressful situation the same way and one starts loosing the courage and many a chances occur for that individual to go in self doubt. So It should not be neglected.
Moving towards it's solution is very important to break the chain problems due to this fever. One thing is to stop the marking system and positioning system to let each individual excel in the area of his interest. Secondly, the pre and post counseling sessions of students should be in fashion to teach them not to lose the courage and stop letting themselves down. A 3-hour exam can never judge the abilities of individuals which are given unique qualities by the creator.
A global awareness in needed on urgent basis to make the young minds capable to do what they are made for.

Don't let your strength become your weakness

Sometimes too much success is the reason behind self stress and anxiety, yes! You read it right, let’s just start with one of my friend’s story; she had an amazing, loving family and friends circle. Her life was great, she was doing a great job, success kept knocking on her door one after the other opportunity, but this made her alone!! Everyone considered her perfect, everyone thought that she was the best no one could beat her in any competition that’s why she start hiding her fears, her guilts, her sadness because she thought if she shared her issues with anyone this would affect her image and   struggle of hiding her emotions, she started losing herself! At start she only suffered from stress but slowly the stress lead to anxiety, she started taking sleeping pills, she also became a hypertensive patient, this is the time we all noticed her behavioral changes and one of my friend who was a doctor advised her to visit a psychologist, at first she refused, but then with our support and love she agreed, she took 5 sessions of psychotherapy, and as I mentioned above she was a successful lady so she defeated her stress and anxiety by understanding this, that nobody is perfect, everyone has insecurities and it’s natural. This thought gave her new hopes and a new vision, and now she is a happy soul inside out.
